Well the Land Rover Wolf has the 300 tdi & are made to order & last i knew They were making NEW 300 tdi's for export so can a new 300 tdi be ordered??????????

There is a replacement you can get, it's the 2.8 tgv international. It's made in the same factory in Brazil as the 300. They have ironed out some of the 300 problems and you can get one for about £4k with all everything on it as a direct replacement. There is only 1 supplier in this country I think something like mg or mr engineering. There is also a company in Holland that imports them. The manafacturers won't deal with Joe public I've tried. I have also heard that it is a similar enginge to the Ford duratorq but without the electronics

That's gonna be a superb vehicle by the sound of it. I don't have the facilities to do that though. Fortunately our TD5 has been OK so far apart from a throttle problem, which turned out to be due to the supplying dealer tampering with the wastegate as a cheap way to get more power.
Going back to the original post, what kind of discount can you get? I was quoted £450 by our local Superchips. (although our Defender seems quite rapid as it is)
