hi my 51 plate TD5 has a bad knock at the back when my other half went under it he noticed a wishbone type bit on the left hand side of the back axel (passenger side) that has alot of play could anyone shed any light on what this part is called and roughly what sort of price im looking at to get it mended, also when i took my TD5 to the landy garage telling them it was starting to rust on the back they said dont worry, but i am a bit what should i do about this?? many thanks

chassis do rot on disco 2 especially back ,you have a roll bar and a watts linkage instead of A frame

ok will have to go to another garage and get it done what does it need, waxol or something? also as to the other thing does that mean i dont have a wish bone thing on the back? if not what could it be? many thanks

waxoyl is brilliant stuff for going over paint ,best to clean as much as possible ,treat with rust killer stuff ,paint zinc oxide ,then hammerite or chassis black then waxoyl inside and out ,mix waxoyl with std thinners sprays a treat flash drys,you can get bush kit for linkage get parts then find someone to fit saves you money

thanks i get it now (having a blonde moment!) will have to get a haynes manual and the other half can have a go, thanks so much this site is great
