Can someone tell me if these are the symptoms of a dead wheel bearing?

Lifted wheel off ground (And taken off) and the hub assembly moves around a lot, you can see the rod the other side of the CV joint wobbling around too before it disappears into the axle housing

Is this a dead bearing (yes i know its expensive on a TD5) or is this more fundamental further into the axle itself?

try shaking it top to botom if the wheel bearing gone it should shake all directions
