Is anyone running their td4 without a centre box ?

If so any running issues or mot issues etc

Just that mine is on it's way out and given that it's on the section with the cat it's not cheap........ Was going to replace it with just a straight piece if pipe if it doesn't cause any issues

If you remove the cat it will fail an mot

Thank kizzeh........ I meant to leave cat in place and just replace centre box with a pipe

They do exhaust wrap in halfrauds if you want a cheap and cheerful fix. It shouldn't cause any issues if you removed the center box

I'd need a lot of exhaust wrap !!!!

It's not blowing at all but the outer skin is starting to come away done its whole length....... Clamped it on with some jubilee clips for now

Times before I have got a car through mot with chicken wire and some of that exhaust wrap. It lasted over a year!

Yes I remember years ago fixing the exhaust on an rs1600i with a holts exhaust bandage ...... You soaked it in water then wrapped it round and started car to heat it up....... It lasted longer than the rest of the exhaust !,,
