Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting on this forum soo if a break any rules please correct me.
I have a freelander 1 td4 manual which I love but it doesn't love me. After buying a cheap knock off and original Luk clutch master cylinder the biting point is still to the floor and I am suspecting that the thrust bearing is about to detonate. Before doing the job and ordering parts is there anything I maybe doing wrong and when replacing the clutch are the anything that I sould replace along the way. I might change the turbo while I'm at it but I don't want my bank to shoot me.
I was thinking of putting a whole clutch pack including flywheel from LOF ( https://lofclutches.com/shop/clutch...der/powerspec-freelander-1-td4-smf-kit-00-06/ ) replacing the dual mass flywheel with normal one but j was worried that because of the missing springyness the gearbox might not hold up and advice on that? Another question that I have that I can't find a solid answer is after replacing thrust bearing what hydrolic oil do i need to top it up with while bleeding. I'm assuming dot 4 but idk for sure.
I would sell it but I already spent alot of money and time repaiting it and put a dope sound system in it. As this forum is free I do wish to donate a glorious picture of it sitting still broken (like it loves to do)

In the past I made an extension for the pin that sticks out of the clutch master cylinder and clips onto the pedal. It worked a treat for years.
This might help if you need to do the clutch
