Is there somebody who can give me some pointers. My Discovery TD 5 has a smoking problem (blue smoke) when used at slow speeds and idling, but whilst I am traveling at normal speeds all seems to be ok,it does not use any oil, it starts without waiting for glow plugs to warm. I have got a unichip fitted. Has anybody any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation

couldn't resist it:D
Sorry ah can't help with the real prob in hand, but ah'm pretty sure somebody will come along soon with the answers ye're lookin' for;)

Might be turbo or head gasket, ah canae mind either:confused: Might want to try a search, ah'm pretty sure it's been covered umpteen time before;)

Had something similar with my defender, i have a superchips upgrade which is the problem, smoke but no use of oil.
It is off to JE Engineering for a remap and intercooler, if you upgrade the fueling, it must be tested and matched to avoid problems like smoking, some of the cheaper upgrades only go for the power rather than an all round performance.

To all those who responded,my problem is fixed it was inferior valve stem seals.

Thanks for taking the time,
