If my Range Rover passes it's MoT on Monday, will it be on the system straight away to tax on line? I've lost my Insurance document to do it at the post office. Thanks in advance.:)

Might depend on whether you have a current MOT - if so then you can tax it today, tomorrow...no need to wait til it passes on Monday.
If not, then you may have to wait until tuesday, depending on whether the MOT system updates "live", or overnight. :)

I have to say that on landrover forums I always assume that the MOT is a "first since rebuild" one....
:)

law states that you must clearly show your tax disc, not just have one somewhere

Print off a copy of the receipt and carry it with you until the disc turns up - I can't guarantee it'll stop you getting a ticket for non display but it might help. The last disc I got on line turned up in about three days.

If there's no break from the current tax disc to the new one, you do indeed get some leeway.

If the vehicle isn't taxed currently, it's run out or has been SORN then you don't - you are legally supposed to wait for the disc to arrive.

You'd be unlucky to get caught but it's a possibility.

My last tax disc, bought on line, took over four weeks and three attempts to arrive. I was astonished how calmly DVLA took the two that got lost. They didn't even ask me to inform them or return them if they arrived.

Range Rover passed at last, been advised to wait till tomorrow before attemping to tax her. Thanks for all your comments. :)
