L llewekab Member Nov 20, 2019 #1 Hey, Under heavy acceleration in first gear im getting a tapping noise from the front end. Im thinking drive shaft bearing!! Its only minor so im thinking just leave it. Any ideas gratefully received, kind regards

L llewekab Member Nov 21, 2019 #3 Foots not on the clutch its as im accelerating in first. Clutch is fully up. If anything the noise stops when i press the clutch . Cheers

GrumpyGel Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2019 #4 If its a TD4, it might be the main fan belt pulley - they have a tendency to delaminate. Can check by shining a light on it and see if there's any shiny metallic particles floating around it.
