Hi all, i would be greatful for any suggestions please, the problem started a month or so ago, i had the cambelt changed on my 2.0l freelander softback 1999 or 2000, drove home from the garage all was fine/ok
. I went out that night, parked up and set the alarm via fob, when i returned i unlocked the car with fob, car unlocked, but wouldn't start, the immobiliser wouldn't disarm
. I got a tow home, and next morning had a look at it, it still wouldn't disarm with fob so i disconnected the battery, left it 10 mins or so then reconnected pressed fob and hey presto car started, brill, what a clever lad
, or so i thought
! The rear tailgate window had gone down automaticaly when i disconnected the battery, when i tried to put it up from inside it just beeps and goes down on it's own, if i try 4 or 5 times it eventually stays up but the rear wiper/washer doesn't work, if i arm the alarm with the fob and put the window up from outside using the key in the tailgate door, it stays up everytime, but when i disarm alarm, window goes down. I have tried disconnectig the battery waiting then reconnecting and arming/disarming 3 times, but no good, any ideas. I need to sort it as i have the m.o.t. this week, does the rear wash/wipe come under the m.o.t. test
. Would really appreciate any help, cheers, Deanlander.
