Hi I have an 02 freelander that my mrs recently bought, and the tailgate window seemed fine, now though it has completely seized. You can hear the regulator click but that is all, is there any way of freeing it?

Chances are the wires that make the mechanism work have snapped. Take the plastic inner cover off and have a look. If they have, replace the motor and wires. Bit of a pain to do, you need lots of patience.

Hi mike, thanks yeah your right one wire has snapped but does this make the window unmovable? I need to drop it down an inch as its above the trim and it just won't budge

I opened the door on mine when it got stuck, with no breakage. Can't guarantee that every time though. You should be able to push it down an inch or so by pressing on it with your hands, if you wish to try.
