Hi, does any one know where the best place to get a pair of tail gate straps please? Just been out for the day and notice mine are rusty and on there last legs.....

hi

just replaced mine (one snapped whilst sitting on the tailgate)- got a couple from P38 spares on e-bay. £36.99, delivered for the pair and when they arrived they were in proper LR branded bags.

Only difference between the old ones & the new was the old's were a 10mm bolt head and the new's are 11's

well chuffed and now feel a lot more confident sitting on the open tailgate

I had one corrode and break, I took it off, and could see that the cable and nipples were fine, just the eye bolt that had corroded.

I crimped new fittings on the end of the original cable and bobs your uncle - repaired for less than £1.
