Hi, Can anyone advise me on how to open tailgate, It is jammed shut and the accuator has packed up and i can not open the door to replace it, I have took the card off and tried operating the cables and latch but nothing happens,
any help appreciated, thanks
 
the door is jammed i am unable to open it all to see what the problem is need advice on what options i have to open the door to be able to replace the lock, the handles all work and return but doesn't operate to release catch
 
Already tried the wd40 and badge off to spray.
I have took the door card off and disconnected rods and moved the lever up and down and still nothing. The catch has failed and need to replace it but cannot open the door to get at the tex screws.
I'm up the s##t creek without a paddle
 
When my TD5 rear door lock failed I was able to open it a few last times by quickly flicking the latch/handle upwards with the tips of my fingers, in quick succession.

The last time I got it to work I had my new unit ready to fit so just got stuck into the replacement.

Have you tried getting someone to push the door inwards as you try fiddling with it to take some of the pressure off the latch
 
Just a update about the lock, had to smash it off, purchased another, tried it a few times but when i locked it and then unlocked it, it has jammed shut again. it seems that after locking it it with the remote,it wont unlock
can any one help, thanks
