Sorry to jump on ya thread Ming but Im also looking for one as well but didnt want to post here, so ive jumped on your thread not to have loads of posts with the same thing.

Whats the difference between the synergy 2 and one of the other systems being sold at various sites for around £100.
I bought a pro-bitz tuning chip for £66 on fleabay and it works brilliantly. I'm averaging around 34/35 mpg and thats from a auto doing local short runs and its got loads more bottom end grunt now. My next improvement is going to be the EGR valve tip.
 
From what I've read so far it adds upto 30bhp which is what mine does and it can also up the mpg by 2/3 mpg. So what else does it do. The only thing thats different is the added MAF sensor (that apparently doe's not work on certain freelander's) and the extra 200 notes. I must be missing summut :confused::confused::confused::D or you boyz have got money to waste lmfao

Is that the dyno proven 30+ bhp extra that the synergy provides & the built-in MAF compensator which will only be noticeable if your MAF is out of spec like most are.
What EXTRA £200 notes? A synergy 2 is less than £200 & your ebay special was £66......................................................................
If your happy, fair dinkum, but we prefer proven quality kit.
 
Having just bought a Synergy 2 I can also add that with this you can call someone (Ron) for a chat about it's setup etc rather than some anon ebayer that is just shifting boxes.
I also got the dash switch so I can change the setup without having to lift the bonnet each time.

Sorry... My intention was to ask what the difference was between the 2 tuners and not steal the post, and as for the 200 notes thing, well I saw it being sold for 260 odd squid somewhere.Thats why I bought the ebay special :cool: Didn't mean to offend. And if you don't ask the question you won't get the answer.:focus:

Facer - what MPG were u getting before? I can't get close to that even on a run (TD4 auto)! Not chipped (yet).
 
FACER THE DIFFERENCE IS ITS mAF COMPESATING . . . .your gismo will be no good if the maf is outa spec. . . .same if you have a re map [chip tune] pay a lot of money but if your maf is outa spec ,it wont make any difference go on Rover Rons web site [have a good read] then come back to say we are stoopid :D:D;) oh yes i'm still after wun . . . . . . . . . . . .
 
@SpaceMan MING, I held for ages hoping a 2nd hand one would pop up - it didn't so I bought a new one....
I have it here on my desk with the remote switch and colour instructions..... gonna fit it at the weekend when I have light and not so much rain - hopefully....
I expect a used one wouldn't be much cheaper than new.

Around 32 mpg. Thats an average of the last months worth of fuel before the tuning chip was put on. Dunno if it makes any difference but mines a 54 plate with 58K on the clock and was fully serviced when I bought it 3 months ago (including all the breathers). I rarely drive above 50 mph if that helps :D
