I have teflons fitted to my 200 disco that afaik have been fitted for 2 years now and they still look fine no thinning of the coating no pitting. it's mainly a road truck but I have been to yarwell so far and plan on more offroading. both p+p and greenlaning but I also plan on making sure she gets pressure washed off after each off road session along with all the grease points and oils regularly maintained

I'd say late 90s for changeover actually, perhaps after they stopped the D1 seeing as the production numbers would have been miniscule compared to when they had D1 and RRC still going

Pretty sure I was working on a 99 110 td5 other day with chrome, but an 03 had original looking Teflon (one was completely worn through to steel)

big thumb up for a pressure wash after a off road session. My off roader gets several hours of attention to the underside with the pressure washer after any muddy off roading and in 8 years of owning it I have only had to put one very small patch on the chassis. The sills and boot floor are another story but I will be seeing to tem this year and next.

mine has had all the welding done so I don't want to be creating more so a pressure wash is a definite job for after p+p days
