Righty-ho chaps. Now as i'm sure you're aware, most of us have friends who believe they know everything about landys, i have a couple and they are given me cross information.
The problem is thus, i have on my MOT Failure sheet this....
005 Nearside front Axle swivel joint has excessive play in a swivel pin
006 Offside front Axle swivel joint has excessive play in a swivel pin
and on an advisory
010 Offside front hub leaking oil.
Now i'm being told 010 is likely to be caused by 006 and i should purchase two kits (at about £100 ea) and do both sides, ball, swivel, seals the lot. Yet another Landy owner is telling me to replace the top pins & bearings (as these usually go through lack of oil) and plonk a load of one shot grease in.
Now from a cost point of view, option 2 I likealot. I'm interested in getting the truck back on the road ASAP as when the frontroopermu is sold i'll be without a vehicle. If I have to spend a couple of hundred on kits in twelve months time then thats ok. Money is very tight at the minute.
So based on that gibbering nonsense, opinions/ideas please.
