Hi,

changed my rear anti roll bar drop links today as they were screwed, also fitted a home made snorkel looks alot better and it seemes to run much better getting cool air.

Anyway as i was doing the above i noticed i had been leaking oil from the swivel ball (silver ball thing) I think it is the oil seal.

1st question does it get its oil from the diff so if it kept leeking would the dif run out of oil spelling bad news.

2ed quesiton whats the best/easiest way to fix it?

The swivel has it's own oil supply you will see the fill, drain and level plugs on the housing. Either replace the seal or depending how worn the seals are, drain the oil and refill with Land Rovers 'one shot grease'.

so to fill with one shot grease do i just drain the oil and refill with the grease, also where can i buy said grease?

I would 1st replace the leaking seal or the grease will ouse out anyway... drain the oil... replace the seal... refill with either new oil or oneshot grease.

When I had a leak on my old RRC swivel I just put half a dozen or so trigger pulls from my grease gun in with the existing oil, it stoped the leak. :)
One shot grease had just come onto the market then.

Thanks for your help i will try the one shot, there is nothing to lose if it still leaks i will have to attend to it then :)

Is there much off roading around oxford/Bicester

Just got the grease from the link you sent.

It's madness for delivery they charge £5.00 standard or £10.00 express, crazy the post cost more than the item!

thanks again for your help
