Just putting my lift kit on and is this right my spring has come off with the seat ?

not entirely surprising, have a look at the mounting point on the axle, if its solid, slean off the plate and mounting point, clear out the old remains of the bolts and replace it with new bolts..

No I mean is that meant to come off the axle like that?

its bolted on normally, but the two pointy bits on the inner section of the plate are whats left of the bolts, they have rusted through. so you need to remove whats left of them and replace with new bolts, that plate should be attached to the axle with a spring retainer... hold on and i find a diagram for you..

Well mines just slid out with the lower spring plate when I undid the shocker?

yes, because the bolts are rusted through....
