Well what can I say 28yr old 8ys NCB been with sure term for 12 months now, £260 fully comp. Thought my renual quote would be less £££

New quote from them £1200 eeekkkkkkkkkkkk and all the other firms wanted £610 but Managed to find a new insurer what can do it for £395 hehe :)
Rant over

if anyone else would like the insurers details I will put them on here in 2 days time :)

yep.. been with sure term for 2 years now... last year was £120, this year they wanted £256...

went with Adrian Flux, cheaper and they allow to drive other cars, which sure term doesnt.

and its always handy to have that on a policy

Sounds like you had a 'new business' quote at £260 therefore on renewal your quoted their going rate. So just shop around, but premiums have increased do to expensive and false claims so they say.

I just got one today through footman james, £260, all mods, green laning (although im sure that they have no choice on that as they are legal byways), fully comp e.t.c

I also got a quote through Lancaster for £290, they are the same although they do cover for off road damage, flooding e.t.c.

I had a fall out a few years back with sureterm... they wont quote me anymore and wont give a reason

It all depends with whom some of these insurance brokers place you with if your premium is good value.
There are a few "crap" insurance companies out there and find if or when you come to claim ie. delaying giving the go ahead for repairs or a claim settlement etc.
You get the service u pay for.

Jeez, I am paying £340 and I am 40 with motorbikes, vans and cars and a zillion years no claims! Might be time to try a specialist insurer!

Premiums depend on the perceived risk, driver, use, area and vehicle etc so no two quotes are the same, my fully comp premium last year was £196 this year £202 with £100 excess thats with Aviva.

i was with wise owl for my last cars but they decided to rip me off big time when it came to closing one of the polices so went with elephant £1000 to insure me 20yrs old with 5 points 2 yrs ncb to insure freelander and c3. its gone up 300quid with disco.
on another note do all insures give you a discount if your a member of a few clubs?

Got a BMW with swift cover, 24 4years no claims was 650, renewal for 1200! Told them to feck off and they sent me a 'why are you leaving us' survey

Them found out I could add it to my fleet insurance for work....at no extra cost :)

If you don't use your Landy as an every day vehicle, put it on a limited mileage policy (ie 5000 miles/year), that will bring the premium down, also putting a female on as a named driver helps as well.

we went with lancaster, the insurer is highway. all mods added 2trs ncb and it came to £364 fully comp

Managed to get it for £400 in the end. Got a quote direct from LV and they quoted £1800 then I used a broker and got it for £400 with LV how strange!!!
