Are they flotation tyres? They are filled with helium and you just cruse on the water

I think it was towing this one

I found the pics in one of my old Landy mags,it said the photos were taken at the testing grounds in Solihull around 1949!

They look like tyres off a Dakota hairyplane. When the green light on the dash illuminates the driver jumps out and does a paratroopers roll.:mil30:

So where does the phrase 'super fandango' come from??.

I remember it being used in a Hamlet cigar advert on telly I think, but don't know the origin.

I'll say it before someone else does " do a fu**in search"

I believe that was 'Carlos Fandango' in the ad and it was aplay on the name of the GP driver Juan Manuel Fangio
