HI,sorry but i'm new to this world of will it work or not freelander game.I may be being a bit stupid but how come the sump guard is pop riveted on? It has a full service history so does this mean oil levels have never been checked or changed? I know some service depts use them there dipstick suckers when changing the oil but what about gear box oil? whats the best thing to do,drill out & replace with screws?thanks for any thoughts.

there is some 10mm bolts at the edge of the sump guard...

the rivets hold the thing together!!

oh so i is being a **** then,i undid them bolts & thought twas just the plastic wot comes off, but sounds like tis the whole frame thut comes orf,will try again,thanks a lot.

yeah... its quite a substantial bit of kit!

what some poeple do too is roughly measure where abouts the sump plug is then drill a hole so you dunt have to take whole thing off next time!
