Feel stupid asking this................. having just taken springs off the one ten I didn't notice [until they were off] that they seem to be "wound" tighter one end than the other - of course I didn't make a note of which end was up. Nice new shiney terrafirmas don't seem to be different either end. STUPID question is.................. does it make any difference which way they go? Thanks in advance,
 
not really but easier to get at the spring locater bolts with tight coils at the top
Excellent, as usual thanks [seem to recall you helped me out with a similar problem awhile ago - must start taking pictures before ripping stuff apart]
 
If your using dislocation cones with the hooks on, the tighter coil should be at the bottom so the hook has more room to grab last coil of the spring
