Hiya

was trying to sort my heater out yesterday, thought there might be a blockage in the air pipes and an easy fix, but no such luck (of course!)

what I did notice is that the fan seems to blowing the air out of the vent on the wing - which seems odd to me.... I'd of thought it would be sucking it in? the wiring is matched up color wise, but who knows what is going on in the dash.

can someone try theirs and let me know if it's the same please? - seems wrong to me, but there is a trickle of air coming through on the inside :(

cheers

It should suck air in. It's probably wired up backwards or the fan's been swapped for a defender one and the wiring not updated. I'm pretty sure you're safe to just reverse connections on these fans...

reversed the connections - less air in the shed, and just as much coming out of the intake! I'm beginning to think it's the fan design - sucks air in at the top of the intake and blows a bit out at the bottom

if anyone could have a check on theirs to see if it's the same that would be great ta

Have you checked the pipe from the heater to the fan, take wing off and check fan housing mine was like swiss cheese, ended up fitting a new one from a Defender.

Due to the shape of the casing fan should turn clockwise when looking from the wing port get some one to turn it on whilst you watch as it is started and stopped.

Truth is they are hopelessly inefficient and blow a considerable amount of air in every direction.....a proportion of which will find it's way inside
