What battery should be on my V8 Disco 11 ( 2001) ?
Took the cover off yesterday to find a cheap looking battery with no lable that could have come out of Tescos !

most manufacturers state an 069 battery as the standard.

most batteries have a 1 or 2 year no quibble garantee even cheapo one, if it dint work you take it back to any supplier of that make and get a new one..

or you could pay the extra £1.15 an get a slightly bigger one eh Daft

yup - 70AH fur an 069 and 75AH fur another £1.15

the next obvious Q is "is there a date code or summat on a battery to determine when it was bought/made and therefore whether it is still under warranty?"

Most battery sales over here etch a date into the plastic when you buy them. They used to use a peel off sticker system for the date but was too easy to defraud.
