yup, but yer kin only hit one at a time - meanwhile, the other's hangin off yer bollix

eres a point, if a few blokes were going ter kick **** out of a bloke and he pulled a gun and shot one, the others would run away. if a few dogs come at yer and yer shot one the others woukld keep coming. just shows how stupid dogs are ;)

Looks like you're gonna have to wait like you said for an assistant or a socket set to come by.:D
The assistant did the trick. She jiggled the bonnet whilst I pulled on the release. I've got my socket set back so I'm going to have a go at pulling some of the slack out later in the week.

So reopening my long dead thread. I went to open the bonnet today and even with my faithful assistant could get it open again. Due to some newly found flexibility in my fingers I'm able to reach the lever the cable pulls on. There's very little movement in it, and jiggling it about I'm unable to reach the catch.

Now I've found the following photo on another forum

The lever on my bonnet appears to rest further to the left - that'd explain the slack cable and possibly why it's not moving anywhere.

Any ideas as to what I could try next to get the thing open?

Dunno about getting it open but can we have some pcs of yer assistant jiggerling on yer bonnet.
