There is also another 12 point head fastener called a triple square or XNY, available in male and female form that needs yet another type of socket/wrench to fit properly as the angles of the points are different (90 degrees rather than 60). They are common on german cars, (in my experience usually socket heads) And then there are spline drives and pentalobes and polydrives and whatever else manufacturers can come up with to hinder doing your own maintenance.
