wondering if someone can help me plse

found an extremely small air leak on the front drivers side strut at the voss connector :

got a new brass 6 mm push fit connector as a replacement , so not the cheaper plastic ones

is it possible to get the old voss connector out and replace it with the new pushfit connector while the strut is in situ plse

my main concern is the voss connector breaking as i try and unscrew it out of the strut , so would rather find out before touching it ,
