as long as the pipes are not tight i should think this will be the way to go.

after being quoted £176.00 at craddocks for replacement pipes! I couldnt believe it!
Has any one got any better suggestions for replacing fuel lines from sender unit to the lift pump?

I went to a local hydraulic fitting place and got the bits n bobs i need and fitted them onto the sender. drove like a pig for around 15 mins, put this down to air in the system after disconnecting the old sender. seemed to be better but not perfect after 30 min drive.
see how it is in the morning.

had a thought, how tight does the large thread ring have to be that holds the sender in place? and how tight do the unions have to be?

make sure that the plastic ring is not crossed as this gives the impression that it is tight! it needs to be quite tight so as not to leak but make sure that the rubber sealing ring is seated properly when you put the sender in.The unions also have to be quite tight or the olives will not form a good seal.

drove it this morning, started after a few turns but kept dieing on me and trying its hardest to cut out for around 3-5 miles.
I think the problem could be as pointed out by dent, stop solenoid, I am going to remove the plunger and spring and see what happens.
