on my disco 2 td5 when i have my lights on if i brake the light on the rear passenger side goes of then back on again when i release the brake.


any one got any ideas

Take off the lamp first and check contacts at the plugs and the common earth.....if the problem is elswhere u have to go back on the circuit through the connectors......follow diagram and connector views from RAVE.

I am not familiar with the wiring on a td5,but your symptoms are classic bad/corroded earth contact-look for a wire (black) connected to the body work-clean up contacts- Check light cluster for corrosion and clean accordingly-or run a new earth lead to a good ground,nearby.

Have you changed any bulbs recently? may have incorrect bulb fitted.

What happens when you use the indicators at when the lights and brake lights are on.

at one point they indicator wouldnt work. but i took bulb out and put it back in and that problem went away
