So...

My central locking works, off the fob and key, but i have no red light flashing on the dash, no alarm, no imobiliser and no indicators flashing when i unlock and lock. Been like it ever since i bought it.

Its an edc 300.

I thought the alarm and central locking etc were all one unit.

Anyone shed some light?

Yes the CL and alarm are in the one box when the vehicle left the factory. U should have enquired when u bought the vehicle as some or all of that factory stuff may have been disconnected, is your CL now controlled by an aftermarket unit?.

Really need more info on what has happened

I didnt even think to check tbh. Fob works C locking. All good as far as i was concerned lol.

Its the original fob. Not an aftermarket one.

Ok original kit then as far a the locking goes. Do u still have the alarm sounder under the bonnet? have a look at the alarm ecu and check if any wiring going has been disturbed if so that may confirm than something has been disconnected.
It there's a problem , normally it's only the immobiliser that gets disconnected leaving the CL and alarm working.
As we are not there, u will have to find what's gone wrong

Lol i have not even attempted to look for the alarm ecu etc. i was being laZy hopeing somone may have had the same problem and know what might be wrong. Yes the alarm sounder is still there.

Where does the alarm ecu live?
