does one exist on a landy?

the exhaust on my rr bobtail v8 has been blowing in a couple of places where the clamps are ,so i thought i would take it apart reseal it new clamps job done

yeh right:mad:

to get the ctr section and rear off i had to remove one of the engine downpipes as the ctr section wouldnt go past the gearbox mounting

fecking all 3 bolts on the downpipe at engine top snapped off

i managed to get one out using the double nut method but the other 2 ive had to drill out

finishing it can wait till tomorro now,is nothing straight forward:confused:

know what you mean, been working on my vw camper today replacing steering rack etc, manual says remove down pipe from manifold , no chance  had to move loads of other bits and jack up exhaust to make clearance then tried to remove pulley of crankshaft only to find i need a special tool to hold damper ffs and vw dont sell them to mere mortels so got to make my own,, what do other peeps do at weekend who dont own such vehicles ???????????? must be boring me thinks:D

i changed a fuse in my 90 the other day. Now, several of the fuses only work if they are wedged in in a particular way...

Hmmm. why do I think that will apply to me. Got to remove my full stainless exhaust from one of my RRC's. Now we all know I'm going to loose skin.
