can any one help i have a1999 freelander and the throtle keeps getting stuck, the cable moves freeley, any ideas anyone.

ticks over ok, it happens when i am driving at about 2250revs

Take the air duct off and inspect the butterfly vlave inside the Throttle body, clean it up with carb cleaner.

Plastic TB's can warp outta shape, but only after overheating

check cable...... drop of lube
