hi all ive just bought a 95 disco 3.9 v8i and when i put on full steering lock the tyre is catching i would like to know if it is safe to put a 5mm spacer either side or can anyone please give me any other advise i like the tyres thats on there and they are nearly new so id like to get the wear out of them before buying a narrower tyre many thanks in advance

Try adjusting the lock stops on the hubs, its a bolt sticking out, crude idea but it works, or fit longer bolts. Dont go too mad otherwise you'll never get around a car park without 3 point turning everywhere.
