My Steering wheel had to come off
because during a Service and a Wheel
alignment it was off centre when driving
and thats freaks me out,,,,
I was there when the Fitter Mec took
it off and it was easy when he did it
loosen the centre nut a few turns
then quickley with your fists hit the
top of the Steering wheel hard and then the
bottom in quick sucession and that should
do the job loose steering wheel off it comes
it goes
back to
the old
days of
email when
you could
only get
so much
in a line
I will have to start stopping doing this problem so your head is OK in the future
he could have disconnected the uj at the bottom of the column and turned it till it was straight but its easier tio remove the steering wheel if you have the right tool. i have a steering wheel puller for a defender which i made myself. it takes about 5 minutes to get the wheel off
i am new today to the forum and can promise that the following link has nothing to do with me, but when i was contemplating swapping steering wheels a few days ago and was faced with the identical problem i saw this!
