I’ve run into yet another problem, I fitted a new ignition with the steering lock, but unfortunately the steering lock was sticking even when the key was in and the engine running. When turning the wheel a full circle I would get a sort of grinding clicking sound. So I removed the ignition and lock but it still seems to be doing it the only thing I can think of it that I’ve damaged the inside of the steering column.

Can any body give me any advice?

Are you sure it's the steering lock? Have you put the indicator knocker offer cam thing back on properly?
