Hi,
Not sure what these bits are called, but should I oil / grease the linkage parts shown in the pictures?

Yes, is the simple answer. The crap Land Rover deign means they use UJ's that don't have grease nipples and if left un-lubricated you will end up with really stiff steering.

Just search for "stiff steering" to see how many people have had an issue with those joints seizing up. Prevention is better than cure
