Hi, I have a '74 SWB which is undergoing a full nut and bolt restoration and rebuild. When I stripped it down there was no steering damper fitted (or any apparent brackets) I note that many have them - was this a change in spec after '74 or maybe an option ?

Trying to keep it as original as possible any advice welcomed

I dont think any SWB had them as standard. I fitted mine with one but I think I prefer it without. Some people really don't like them.

If fitting oversize tires damper may be needed,but both will make steering heavy.Not normaly fitted.
