Gonna change the steering damper on mine this week, anyone got any helpful tips as to which damper?

I can get a monroe one for about 22 quid, or an original one for about the same, but is the monroe any better/worse than the original fitted one?

monroe is about the same as oe to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if oe is monroe made under license

That'll do me then, i'll take the monroe. The oe one has no markings on it so i cant be 100 per cent sure its what he says it is.
Did you fit ya number plate surround then?

not yet mate, been playing football this morning, fixed that scania yesterday,baking a cake this afternoon, **** me its a hard life

you need a big pair of grips to hold the rod

if i remember rightly its easier to drop the one track rod end

You might regret that offer, nothing ever goes to plan with my little jobs.

Ive gotta sort out this damper, and stick 2 bushes on the back next weekend, as the weekend after im away for easter and the disco gets its first taste of proper towing.
So much as i would like to take up your offer big guy, i need to do bushes as well and i cant expect you to give up an hour or three as you will have more cakes to bake no doubt

the cake baking isn't a hobby i usually partake in. one of the kids came home with a feckin recipe marked homework. ffs i ask you, then the old significant other decides to tell me she is working all weekend so i WILL have to help him make a cake. as for next weekend, i already know she aint working so she can look after her own feckin brats(yes i suppose they are mine as well). so if yer want len, bring it down, its play time

Right then, game on. I shall endeavour to buy the bushes and damper this week and hey ho, jobs done i think.
