Hello, just wondering if anybody can please tell me what size circlip the steering box takes where the main lower seals fit. I bought a seal kit and it didn't have one included. I went back to the supplier who said none of the kits they had in stock included one and they couldn't get one (and seemed very surprised at this) and to re-use my old one. Only problem with that is its in a dozen pieces on the garage floor. Thank you.

Don't know the size but the STC1042 kits on ebay all seem to come with the clip. You could try measuring the old seal external diameter, if the circlip groove looks to be say 1.5mm deep add 3mm to the seal diameter and then search for an internal circlip to the nearest mm i.e if you measure it and it you come up with 29.5 then search for a 30mm one. Hopefully JM will be along and give you the correct answer!

I measured it once and bought some 50mm circlips and they were huge.

if you get stc2848 it comes with the circlip,606551 is the circlip itsef
