Hi

Forgive me if you have heard this question before but i am new to this site.

I have a 1993 3.5 V8 disco that has run perfectly since i got it, however a couple of months back it failed to start. i had it checked out at a garage and it turned out to be bad wiring in the circuit boards. it was fixed and started fine.

A couple of weeks back i went to start it and all that i got was a loud click. i was told that it could be the starter motor, so i removed it and had it reconditioned. i put it back together and still all i got was the loud click.
i have no idea what the problem is.

If anyone else has had the same problem and can give me and help i would be extremely grateful.

the click is probably the starter solinoid. if not the starter, then it's something to do with the big fat wires that supply the juice to it.

the starter motor and the solinoid are together and they where both reconditioned today. could it be anything else?

you could take it off and see if it spins when you turn the key..?
