Now to start with this motor is in great nick maintained by a genuis locally. Due for MFfuel LPG conversion in august. But something odd that niggles....
She runs fine with no problems pulling away rapidly as you would expect. but on a steep downhill slope once you reach the end and brake she stalls. Never on level ground or indeed uphill. I have some ideas but thought i'd ask you lot 1st cos..well your all so good at this stuff.

can you elaborate. im just a hgv1 driver/recoverer.

maybe yer pick up pipe is damaged in such a way( pipe snapped off part ways up or a hole in it) that it is having difficulties pickin up enough fuel when the vehicle is tilted forwards.

while yer going down hill you don't need as much fuel so it will run ok on what it can pick up , but when you level out it hasn't enough to allow it to run.
once yer level it can then pick up sufficient fuel and orf yer go

this would depend on where yer pick up pipe is and how full yer tank is.

ok got it. ill fill the tank to 3/4 to rule out any other issues. cos its only got a 1/4 tank normally. this might be the cause. then if the pickup is faulty ill drop the tank and drain then either replace it or improvise...namely a petrol proof rubber hose with a filter on the end. those sender units can be expensive.
