Some years ago I fitted one to an 88". It fitted, and didn't rust. It did make the exhaust quite a bit louder.

Stainless on my 90 was on there when I bought it 5 years ago and is still fine, I thinks its janspeed?

I can't imagine it being that much louder on a diesel. I've got a straight 3" stainless pipe front to back. It's not an obscene noise. Looks like that system has mufflers still. We're your exhausts that rotted cheap pattern parts? You could probably buy 4 more mild steel systems for the cost of that one system right?

I bought both the exhaust systems from Paddocks. The first one lasted a year almost to the day; The second one has been on there two years, it's OK at the moment but looks like it will rot through soon. A comment was made on the last M.O.T. in between all the above I did replace the back section on one of them somewhere.

They should certainly last longer than a year. I installed a mild steel to mine and took it off after 3 years. It had surface rust but no rot. Maybe you've just been unlucky with a batch of nasty steel.

About three years ago I got a stainless one for my Defender. The shine has come off it in the meantime but it looks like it has lasted well. I'd be surprised if I were to get less than 10 years out of it at this rate. I believe it was a Janspeed brand.
