Retired - Living the dream
Hi,

Mate has been running his 04 Discovery TD5 for a few weeks with the SRS light lit on the dash, finally got round to hooking up my Hawkeye today and its showing a fault code B1008 with the following message

tried to clear the code, however it returns very quickly.

Does this mean a new steering wheel airbag?

Here's a quick check list for most common faults of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

.
I also find mine come on if I have to move the seat after my missis has been driving , one good wiggle of the relays under the seat then restart the engining normaly sorts it for me .:)

I checked and cleaned the ecu red plug (new injector harness seals needed) after getting rough running issues and, as well as fixing the rough running, the srs light went out. Might be coincidence of course.

rotary coupler would be my guess

Long time in the making but as this vehicle is now my Project, first thing to sort was the SRS light now that its an MOT failure.

Well done Fanatic, you win a virtual coconut.
£15 from ebay for a 2nd hand coupler and all sorted.
