hi ,is there any way of reseting the srs warning light it came on after i took the wrong 10 amp fuse out . a mate who is a mechanic has tried with a diognostic machine (snap on) without any luck . i have heard of a fix using a paper clip but i am not sure any help please.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes?

Also will help if you say which Disco it is? D1, D2 etc.

Cheers

sorry, yes i have tried disconnecting the battery no luck . its a discovery 2 2001 deisel auto

iirc , someone mentioned before that the connections under the seat can cause this .

Have you moved the seat recently?

Other option is get it on diagnostics and see if that gives you any clues.

Cheers

thanks for your reply , it definetly happend when i removed a fuse. the diognostic would not read it

Dedicated diagnostic tool is needed for that ... if a good fuse was refitted the warning should be out if that was the cause, IMO it's not related cos the SRS has volatile memory, the warning stays on only untill a fault is present if the fault is gone the warning should go off

Blade type fuse holders aren't the most reliable kind on the market, they can and do deteriorate over time. Check not only that the fuse you replaced is a good one, but also that the fuse holder's flat sockets are clean, tight and properly connected.

thanks i will try a new fuse but i never had a problem untill i took the fuse out. it was replaced within 30 secs thanks again

thanks for all your help ,carnt believe a new fuse solved that the fuse i took out looks fine thanks again
