Hi,
My 97 model year 3.9 V8 Gas , has its SRS light on (has since i purchased it).
It has been to an approved repairer who plugged it in to their laptop etc, he found it was not talking to the ECU.

Therefore he diagnosed a blown ECU due to impact etc.

Ive just fitted a brand new one fron L/R ,only to find its the same.
I did wait for a while with the battery disconnected to allow the ecu to power down.
But still the same fault, does anyone have a clue please??

Make sure the ecu has power and earth to it, this may be the reason why the laptop didn't communicate with it in the first place.
