HI Everyone,

I've had RR and Series Landrovers for 20 yrs for RTV etc. I now own a 1998 300TDI Disco which I've decided to 'have a go' with. It has SRS airbags and I'm a bit worried about them going off should I stuff it into a ditch etc. Is there a way of easily disabling it? I'm just about the take the front bumper off and 'cut' for a better entry angle - am I going anywhere near the sensors for it? I'm currently with the British Forces in Gibraltar and in Spain doing a lot of laning - I don't want bags erupting and people rushing over as my spanish isn't what you'd call good! Thanks Everyone in advance for your help.

I'd have thought if you stuffed it into a ditch hard enough to set off the airbags then you'd probably be glad they did their job. :)

Anyone who's RTV'd will know that the dangers are you not being able to 'rise' up the bank -- so has anyone got any ideas? do I remove the fuse for the airbags or is there something more simple?
