Hi

Does anyone have any idea what the "CD ERR 04" message means on my 2004 Freelander Sport.

It appears when I have tried to load CDs and get the "Wait" message as expected, but then the ERR 04 message and the CD will not play. It will eject no problem.

Is the system is "Ker Put" or is there a simple fix?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Is it a multi changer or a head unit.

Either way would be worth disconnecting either unit and giving it a good clean inside with an air line to get rid of all the dust

Is the cd dirty or scratched??,or try cleaning the laser!!

are you sure the unit takes what you're feeding it? as in putting mp3's in and the head unit does not read them? alternatively try a head clean cd
