Decided to open this fred to tell you our dog's story.
Spot is anywhere from 5-7 years old, we do not know the exact date.
My dad, while at work noticed this dog, tied up in a barn, out in the freezing cold snow on a farm.
He walked up to him, and he was there with his tail between his legs, looking all poorly.
My dad, because he does have a caring side to him, was actually losing sleep over him. So one evening, he decided to go down in the disco and pick him up. When he got back, this is what we found:

We took him to the vet the next day, where we found out he wasn't chipped, but also we found out that he weighed a measly 9kg, his norm being of around 25-30kg.
He had a few bruises on his front and back legs, where he had been laying on a stone floor.
He had a severe ear infestation, and was also nearly blind.
He was then treated for his ear problems, fed regularly and given the love and attention he deserved.
Over the past 4 years he has shown little aggression towards us, is very playful and over the past few months has had a little companion named Lucy, a little shih tzu puppy.
It is incredible how lucky he is that my dad went around to get him when he did. I don't think he would have survived much longer. He is now a very loving and caring dog, i honestly don't know why the previous owner left this poor innocent fella for dead.
Here are a few recent pictures of him:

Amazing how badly some people will treat animals. Good on you for taking him on and giving him the sort of life he deserves :)

Find out who the previous owner was.....THEN FECKING TIE THEM UP AND STARVE THEM TO FECKING DEATH....FECKING WASTERS.....

Humans being nasty to humans...fair enough we are inteeligent enough to understand why....but to be gruel. mean and nasty to an innocent animal that has only ever shown affection to its owner, is just plain fecking wrong.....the animal knew not why it was being treated so badly....poor mite......

Find 'em and Feck 'em up.....and if you won't feck 'em up, bring 'em to me and I'll 'realign them' from their errant ways with great pleasure.

Bloody fairplay to you. Looks like a cracking dog too, especially in that bottom picture!!

Well done for taking him on. :)

some "people" truly are despicable - treating him like that. :(

Good on your dad, well done. Looks like a great dog. No dog deserves that treatment, and that fella definitely deserved the love and care he ultimately found.

Just got in from work on the SIII.
Thank you all for your replies :D
Only my dad knows the address and name of the ''customer'' he visited, he said even if he was there, and confronted him about it, he still would have taken off with him. Good man ;)
Just need to add a few details: Despite his poor start in life, once he became a part of this family he has been trained very well. He knows how to sit, lay down, jump, give you a right and left paw, do ''dead dog'', waits for a signal until he has his breakfast and dinner, and many other things all on command. He is a very good dog and we are very happy with him.
