Hi I'm fitting some spot lights to my disco 2 , I've seen some wiring sockets by both headlamps are these for spot lamps or is it easer to wire them in my self with a relay and tee into the main been wireing

Not knowing much about the 300tdi Disco, mine is a facelift Td5, but I would say that trying to use those odd sockets for spot lights might get you into more trouble than it's worth. I reckon you'd be better off wiring them yourself from scratch with a relay triggered from the main beam circuit.

The "official" spot/driving lamp system on the Disco requires a Land Rover add-on box which by all accounts isn't that reliable, it's expensive and a pig to wire in.

There are plenty of details on the forum regarding adding spot lights if you do a search.
