My recon transferbox has been sat in the truck without a speedo transducer for a while. Even though it's always been out of the weather in the garage, I noticed that it looks a little rusty where the transducer goes. It looks as though the end of the speedo gear is a little rusty as well. I can't turn it with my fingers but can't get my pliers onto it to see if it will turn. Any tips? :frown:

Jack it up and turn a wheel, or remove props and turn either output flange.

Cheers Aaron. I don't have the gear-lever or props installed yet. I'm presuming it needs to be in gear..

Shouldn't need to be in gear (gearbox), it works off the output shafts, so as long as it's in high or low it should turn.

Cool. I will give the flange a turn tomorrow when I get back to the garage
