Gosh, is that the colour.
just find the Hammerite really lasts , good to know about the wilko paint
but know there ordinary white gloss is useless , goes yellow
done my rear drums with Hammerite , two years later is still fine , done it in black though ,
still wish I had done it in red, maybe next time , lol

I'll probably do my rear drums in black smoothrite too - but quite like the gold that John used!
that's the household paint , gloss , is really bad after about 8 months all my skirting boards in the bedroom went yellow , so burnt all the paint back off and started again , lol

used the brush and a tin of Hammerite , took ages in trying to grind all the junk off, if I had the money at the time would have been easier to have new drums, took a couple of hours with an angle grinder with a wire brush attatched and power washed after
hadn't seen gold drums yet , lol only red and yellow

- cos I don't take time over anything ...........................too impatient see. I chipped the loose then got the rotary wire on the rest and finally sanded but even then they look less than smooth. Gold or red.............against black ..........I like.Meant to say my fav tool is an old b****rd file followed by a welders chipping hammer.

was suprising how long it took , found a dirtblaster fitted to my karcher done wonders
but also found it wasnt completely smooth , just put I think 3 x coats of Hammerite on it, giving it a slight sand Inbetween coats
done black as I just thought it wouldn't show up all the dirt etc so quick as a brighter colour
